Sunday 5 December 2010

30th November - 3rd December

Walking home with Rachel at 3.15 on Monday 29th November, Rachel says "We're meant to have Thursday off due to snow!" Me: "Paa, they always say it'll snow, I doubt we will."

7.50 on Tuesday morning:
*wakes up and screams* WHY AM I NOT UP.... OMG I'M GOING TO BE SOOOO LATE!!!" *looks out the window* SNOW SNOW SNOW AND LOADS OF SNOW. Got back into bed and frantically searched Twitter/Facebook/Essex FM/Shenfield website to see if the school is closed... NOTHING. I was in no rush to get ready what so ever, I was still in bed at 8.15. Then thought well I'll dress up in "snowy clothes" that I can just wear to school if I ever get round to going. At 9 Tabi rang me and warned me not to come in, they were keeping all the kids in the hall watching Harry Potter and she said they won't let them out :S Buuuuttt then she escaped with Lucas and Rachel and they walked down to meet me. We ended up all pushing a mini up Rayleigh Road and had an argument with some fat bloke cos we didn't have a shovel on us, WTF! Then just wandered all round Shenfield, trying to kill a couple of hours before we could go to The Rose for a pub lunch! When we walked in their, all the PE teachers were in there like :| We had a lovely bacon burger and a glass of wine cos we're cool (Y). After, I went back to Tabi's and raved around her house to some tunnneeessss and then went out a rolled round in the snow, ha! I went to bed that night, with an alarm set for 8, thinking we would never be going to school in the morning. If we didn't me and Rob would plan on going to get Louise in the snow ;)

7.15 on Wednesday morning:
"CCCLLLAAARREEEE SSCCHHOOOLLSSSS CCAANNNCCEELLLLLLEDDD!" Oh yeah cheers, thanks Mum, kinda gathered that. *burys head back under covers* At about 7.45 woke up, got ready and went to Rob's where we made this really cool tunnel thing to put legs in using a dustbin (It's melting now :() With Chris we managed to create a terrorist snowman (pretty freaky) and shove a bread knife in it just to add to the touch! After Max came we walked to Louise's to try and get her to come out but she was quite comfortable at home ;) So we wondered to get Genna and then went to Max's garden with the sledge. Well the rest of the day basically consisted of throwing snow at George when he arrived, building a slope with ramps in so we could sledge down this massive hill in his neighbours garden, joining all the sledges together like a train (including a wheelbarrow at one point), crashing into "Dan's Bush" at the bottom of the garden every time we sledged down, Rob flying over the ramp and clearing 4 people lying down underneath him (that was pretty amazing not guna lie). It started to get reaaaalllly cold so we all went in Max's shed and watched Toy Story 3 ;) That night I slept downstairs on the sofa cos I was way to cold to be in my no-heating room! Watched a couple of Christmas films to celebrate the 1st December ;)

8.30 on Thursday morning:
School off again woo! Gen text me saying we were all going out again so I walked round to her house and met Rob then walked to Max's again. We sat in the shed for a while, playing ATHENS 04 ;) and a bit of Mario. We basically did the same as Tues but this time with John (woop!) Managed to get 9 of us on 3 sledges going down the slope, had a ssllooww snowball fight which me and Genna just observed ;), did some more crashing into "Dan's Bush" (I'm totally guna miss that bush, but hope it's okay - it got a bit abused by us). We finished the evening with some pizza and watching Catch Me If You Can which is a really good film. I went to babysit pretty much straight after and stayed up on my laptop till about 1, waiting for Rob's birthday ;) The school were v kind today and told us the day before that we were off school on the Friday, yaaahhh!

9.00 on Friday morning:
ROB'S BIRTHDAY XD. Stayed at Chrissy's until about 12, trying to put her Christmas lights up outside her house and defrosting her car. Came home and spent about 234567 hours trying to get the key out of the frozen box on the side of my house! Moped around the house for a while until me and Rob decided it was snow time again! We discovered the knife in his garden, luckily. Then invited ourselves round to Max's again. Played some Star Wars Battlefront 2, which was interesting..., then some Mario Kart, CLASSIC! Beat Rob 2-1 at pool then came back. Snow was pretty crappy so couldn't do much. Slipped about 23456 times walking back, meh. Then just got ready for Rob's party that night, woooo! Got dropped at Genna's and walked round there fashionably late of course! The whole evening was really really good. Me and Louise got a bit excited about the wonders of the Sun etc.. that was interesting! And yeah just didn't want the night too end at all, it was amazingggg! A big thanks to Rob xD It was a very unforgettable night and a really good way to celebrate the end of 4 incredible days and of course his birthday :D xxxxxxxxxx

Linkin Park

On the 29th January 2008, I travelled down to the O2 arena with my friend Hannah to go and this Linkin Park live. Our seats were right at the top of the arena, pretty much in the corner at the back. Biffy Clyro came on stage, didn't have much interest in them at that time. They were good, very good live. I only knew two of their songs at that point but still loved it. In the break between Biffy Clyro and Linkin Park, it got really cold up there and I was shaking like mad. I also needed to go to the toilet about 234567 times! I took this as a bad sign, thought I was ill or something. The lights went off, stage lights came on, the first beats of "No More Sorrow" started playing and that was when I knew. This was going to be the best night of my life. The curtain dropped, and there they were. 6 of them, Chester, Rob, Brad, David, Joe and Mike. I knew that the shaking and the coldness came from my excitment of seeing them. It probably sounds sad but it honestly happened. Me and Hannah couldn't sit in the seats the whole way through it, so we spoke to the girls next to us, and we were the first in our block to get up and rave. The whole time I kept looking at the standing area and seeing everyone so close up. That is where I wanted to be...

And that was where I was on the 10th November 2010. The "A Thousand Suns" tour. For nearly 3 years, I was constantly on their website, the O2 website, you name it, looking for when they might be touring next. And finally, sometime in June, I was looking through my emails, when I saw "Presale Linkin Park today" This was at 8pm. *OOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGG but daymm I'm too late* Went crazy at my friend Oli, saying I'm booking tickets right now and you're coming with me! Rang them up and they said the standing is fully booked but there are a few seats left right at the top of the arena *daym - I don't want it like last time.* I could either wait until the morning, risking that I don't get "normal" tickets or go for the crappy seated ones. I went for the crappy seated ones. YES I WAS GOING! Come 9am the next morning, I was on that website with my mums credit card ordering 2 standing tickets. Ticket number 83. GET IN. I WAS GOING TO BE STANDING IN THE ARENA! WOOOOO! Now I just had to get rid of my other 2 tickets. Dan and Huw brought them off me. Now all I had to do was wait until the day, and iron my LP jumper.

The day came. During the day was just the same as any other day. Didn't really think much about it, travelled up there pretty much straight from school with the other 3. Had a starbucks and me and Oli had to queue in a really cold dark area of the O2 for like 2 hours. I was getting really impatient. Got into the arena... walked STRAIGHT TO THE FRONT of the floor. Eventually the support band "Does It Offend You, Yeah?" came on, I actually quite liked them. They were very rock electronic which I liked and it felt like my insides were coming out. These two boys in front of us, must have been about 19/20ish, turned around whilst we were standing there and we were just chatting about gigs we had previously been too etc. They were realy nice ;)

After they had finished we had to wait for Linkin Park to come on, that felt like a million years. We were all debating what the first song would be - we voted the catalyst.

At 8.32 the lights went off, the music of "The Requiem" came on, and this was it! They ran onto the stage and I died inside, too shocked that I was only a few metres away. They broke into "Wretches and Kings" which was pretty amazing! And then "Lying From You" came on, and the crowd went completely and utterly mental. I didn't know it was possible but I must have travelled forward about 10 metres. It was crazy, people were going mental, so I just went with the flow and made myself at home. Me and Oli got parted straight away but I managed to stay with the 2 guys in front of us luckily enough. So we would just shout and scream and jump up and down together. And look at each other like :O when a song WE LOVED came on. This happened for "New Divide", "Faint", "Numb", "Breaking the Habit", "Crawling" and "One Step Closer". They went off stage and my face was :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ !!!!!!!!!! Okay they'll come back on for an encore but they haven't even played the ULTIMATE TUNES! Back they came,
20. "Fallout"
21. "The Catalyst"
22. "Leave Out All The Rest"
23. "In the End"(contains elements of "Pushing Me Away")
24. "What I've Done"
25. "Bleed It Out"(contains excerpts from "A Place For My Head")
Talk about a long encore! IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
Then they officially went offstage and the lights came on. I relocated Oli and we followed the 2 guys out of the arena chatting to them as we went... and the night came to an end.

It was honestly hands on my heart the best night of my whole life. It is now 20:45 on a Saturday night and it hasn't for one minute exited my mind. I've had their songs on repeat and just haven't stopped loving them. Now I just await for the day that they next come on tour, because I'd never miss them for the World. Just my all time favourite. LOVE IT.

Family Fortunes

I just typed this all out and deleted it all... FAIL.

On the 3rd September (My Aunties birthday in case you were wondering) I met Rachel and Oli at Shenfield station at 3.30 (Molly couldn't come because she couldn't get back in the evening, gay!) and we went to Liverpool Street, then Bank, then got on the Waterloo and City Line to Waterloo. We got on that train and looked at the map of how many stops there are. There is only 2 stations, it just goes between the two. One line. I was creasin up - needed an iron I tell ya! LOL!

I had to get the instructions out on how to get there cos I couldn't remember from last time we went. But we found it fine and was nearer the front of the queue than we were last time. It was in the shade so was pretty cold just sitting on the floor. Eventually they came around with the wristbands and we had priority tickets so had a red one. Number 9, 10 and 11 we were, woop! Then we went for a walk along the Southbank, had a cup of tea, watched some breakdancers, spoke to some random french tourist guy who had a go at me for saying that "they weren't poor". That was kinda freaky actually, he was still talking about how they can afford to eat when I was like 10 miles away!

We walked back to the queue and there were loadssssssssssssssssss of people there, but of course, off we plundered to the front of the first queue woop! We waited there for about 10 minutes tops then got let in... we got put rightttt at the front, literally the first row, on the left. Then the almighty Ian Royce came on to warm up the audience...

He stole a girls phone and rang her mum and said "Alright, just shagging ya daughter, how's it going?!", took the mic out of an Indian lady, invited a typical Essex woman who worked for "PAAANND LAAAAND" to the stage, stole someones Tuc biscuits, annoyed all the set crew etc etc... UNTIL... he introduced the beautiful Vernon Kay!

And he got straight to business really, introduced the first guests... Jo Wood (model and rock chick kinda thing) and BOBBY DAVRO... possibly one of the funniest people I know. He was cracking all the jokes out!! And his really old dad who said for "Name a fruit you can eat whole".. he said an apple. He was a legend! The Davro's won that game

The second guests were Cheryl Fergison (HEATHER FROM EASTENDERS... ANOTHER CRACKER!) She was hilarious... so much skinnier in real life as well!! And the other guest was Mikey Graham (from Boyzone) who was actually really cool. Mikey's family won the game so at the end when they do the 5 questions... his brother I think it was, said February in answer to "Name a month with 31 days" OUT OF ALL THE MONTHS!!! Vernon just stood there for about half hour staring at him like WTF! When Mikey come out he was no better... he said September... so they both failed that one!

We left there at about half 10 and got home by about 12. On the train on the way back to Shenfield, the after 8's had melted in Rachel's bag and they just went everywhere, it was actually hilarious (had to be there kind of funny) I was wetting myself. Goooddddddddddddd night :) xx

The Pacific

Last night, I finished watching the 10 part series of the Pacific. It focused on the United States Marine Corps' and their life in the Pacific war.
It is one of the only films/series that I have seen about any war that actually made me stop and think. I mean I took history as a GCSE and all of that was about the war so I have studyed it hard and I have seen many films which have made me cry and made me think, but none as much as this.

It's taken me about 5 months to watch all 10 episodes because I kept missing them on the TV and I had to hunt for them online, so I didn't really get the effect of it on my little laptop screen. However, it was enough. Pretty much all the episodes had battle action in it: deaths, emotions, Japs, weapons, rain, mud etc etc. It actually caught my breathe and my heart paced. At the start of every episode it would have real life footage of what actually happened, and the real soldiers, who fought in that war, and who the series is based on, were talking about their feelings. Now last night was the first time that I actually looked at them and read their expressions and the hurt that STILL remained in their eyes.

I know they are American's but I am extremely proud of these men. To even think about what they went through makes me feel sick, and to see them still sitting there, reliving their memories must have been really hard. If I was American I would certainly class these men as the real heroes of today, not these people that run around on a pitch or walk up and down a catwalk. Of course the women in the series also played a great role and I have much respect for them, as I could never do that. I know I feel that way about all the English people in my country. The war has always been something I have felt strongly about, and I have never been one to joke about it.

At the end of the series it went through all the characters (the real life men) and talked about what they did at the end of the war and their children/grandchildren,
for example: Sidney Phillips - Private First Class - still best friends with his war time friends and still living.

Reading all these stories at the end of The Pacific Part 10 just made me think. And I thought I should write it all down because it really meant that much to me.

Holiday in Cyprus

Cyprus
Day 1
We landed at Paphos airport at around 9:20pm. It was a bit of a bumpy landing but a good flight all round. When we had collected our luggage, Mark was waiting at pick up point for us. He looked really happy to see us again, as were we. We got in his car and he drove us to our apartment that we stayed in last year, near the tomb of the Kings. When he had dropped us off me him and my dad went to a kiosk to get some beers and biscuits for tea and coffee! When we got back, we had then whilst having a catch up on some of the brief things that had happened in the past reyear. We then decided to move e seen as it was still about 30 degrees at midnight! We had a look at the pool so see if anything had changed. Then at about half 12 we decided to have some toast. Mark left our apartment at about 1am, time had flown by. We just unpacked the suitcase after and got straight into bed at about 2.
Day 2
I kept waking up in the morning because of a dream I was having. Being here really brings back some memories of last year/february and the people that I loved here. Obviously that was playing with my mind. When I finally woke at about 9:30 I got straight up, washed and changed and Rob and I were out by the pool by about 10:30. Mum and dad had gone to pick up the car and get some shopping. When they got back we literally sat around the pool ALL day. I read "dear John" which I have nearly finished in 24 hours! Only a little bit left. AN AMAZING BOOK!!!! he's so I inspirational. I can really relate to Savannah in the story, which also kept me quite down, i was thinking too much about him, being here and all. Anyway! The rest of my family went down to the beach opposite us for a couple of hours in the afternoon to test out the "ball that bounces on water" apparently it worked as they seemed quite happy about that. At about 6:00 I went inside and got showered for dinner. My brother then locked me out of the apartment when I went outside to put my towel to dry, how mature :/ so I walked round the front and rang the door bell about 60 times (no joke). My mum thought there was actually someone at the door. I mean who would ring that many times if they didn't live there? Me obv! So at about 7:00 we headed down the road, walked past loads of restaurants and bars and decided to eat at Kings road bar. We just had a simple burger an chips, mainly because it was cheap! They didn't even sell Greek food??!! We weren't there long, we were like the only people there! So we came home at about 9.30 and decided to get an early night. Then we would be refreshed for the rest of the holiday! I lie in bed thinking of good memories previously in this country.
Day 3
I kept waking up at different times during the night with major tummy aches. It felt like someone was twisting my insides around. So painful. So I decided not to go out with the family in the morning for their walk. So I just stayed in bed until 12 :S after I woke up I felt fine, I think it was due to tiredness. We went and met Mark at Yianis bar, we saw Chell on the way and said hello to her. After introducing ourselves to Yianis, we had big glass of cold coke and i had a chicken sandwich. We walked back to the apartment and got straight in the pool. After I just lounged around, read more of my book. Then at 6 I got in the shower and Mark came and picked us up and took us back to his place jn the evening. We saw Nicola but she had to go out, so we ordered a dolminoes (how cypriat!) and just watched Tv. Good night.
Day 4
Woke up at 9:30 to hear we were going to the beach. Not my favourite place in the world but o well. We went down to Corallia Bay for the day. When we got there we payed for 4 sunbeds and umbrellas. I lay in the sun whilst finishing my boom, "Dear John" which was a crap ending cos I didn't want that to be the ending :@ I started reading "Noughts and Crosses" again and managed to get through 200 pages in one day. At lunch time me and mum took a walk down to the town centre where we brought some baguettes and crisps for lunch. Whilst we were eating it back on the beach we decided to name each other different things. I was named Lily after my mums mum. My mum was named May at first after her mums mum but when we found out that her dads mum was called Florence we changed her name to that. Robert was called Bryan after my dads dad. And my dad was called Cyril after his dads dad. So throughout the whole day we were calling each other them names! We left Corallia Bay at about 5, then me mum and dad went to the supermarket to get lots of food! Got back home, had a shower, cooked dinner etc. Then got ready to go out for a pub night ;) firstly we went into the bar that Chel works at - Charlies Bar. It was nice in there bit really hot. We met rob and dads friends jn there - the COUSIN OF SIR TREVOR BROOKING!! His daughter was autistic and she took a shining to me, at first I was a bit iffy cos I hate it when little girls stalk your life when they get to know you but she was alright, I took her for an ice cream which her mum said to me was surprising as i was the first person she had ever been out with alone! Nice! Mark joined us in that bar after a while  Then a fat black girl started singing and she was realllllly good, the typical loud voice kinda woman! But then we decided to go into Yianis bar again where there was a karaoke going on. After the Brookings left we requested some songs. Dad did suspicious minds - Elvis. Then Mark did everybodys changing - Keane. Then they both did Baggy trousers - Madness. And Mark did another one Feel - Robbie Williams. They were terrible but it was so funny :') dad got really drunk throughout the whole night and Mark had too much to drink so we let him stay round our house. Rob had to kip in with me for the night but that's okay haha!
Day 5
I woke up at 9:30, just as Mark was leaving so I missed the fry up, I had a croissant instead tho. We had no plans for the day so just stayed around the pool. For lunch we just had some crackers and cheese and things. A stray cat came and sat under our outside table for agessss! Yugh. Then at 3 Peter, Robs mate came to our place and they went to the beach down the road together. When they came back they got in the pool and Peter was really trying to annoy me by getting me wet whilst I was laying reading my book. He didn't even know me :/ after a few attempts I just got in the pool for a cool down but o no what did I expect   - he just splashed me and squirted me with these gun things even more. Then! He started to drown me by like climbing on me and stuff. Wtf?!! I got fed up of his childish behaviour, I mean he's in year 10 for lords sake. Hmm. So I got out and got showered and went down to a different supermarket with my Mum to get some breakfasty bits for Sandra & co who were landing later on tonight. AND. They were staying in the apartment 2 doors down from usssss!!! EXCITEMENT!!! Anyway, it was a nice supermarket ;) when we got back we cooked some dinner - spaghetti carbonara which was gorgeous. Then me and Rob watched "Something about Mary" together which I thought was a hilarious film! As soon as that had finished - literally AS SOON! Sandra and fam walked around the corner, at this time it was about 10pm. Rob didn't see so I went out and helped them settle in their own apartment. Rob came running in so happy! I helped them all unpack a bit, then they all came over to our patio area and we had wine & beer till about 1am. I knew that it was going to be a good holiday with them.
Day 6
I woke up at about half 9 AGAIN! lol! I woke up the smell of chocolate croissants mm!! We layed around the pool until lunch time. At one point we had all 8 of us in the pool, that was quite amusing actually! I also finished my second book of the holiday, wooo! For lunch we had the same as yesterdays which was lovely ;) then straight after that we headed down to Mark's place in our boiling hot car! Nice. When we got there, he showed us around to the 2 different pools used by all the people in his complex. Although NO ONE uses it, and honestly NO ONE! so we had the priviledge of going to his MASSIVE pool and having it alllll to ourselves! Although the water was really hot, it was a great fun pool. We played with the bounce on water ball which is amazing but I can't actually throw it Lol! then I got out and laid on the sunbeds while I watched them play volleyball. Between 4 of them, their record was 31, they really were shocking! Mark called dad, "the Wayne Rooney of the pool" because he didn't like not getting his own way :') after we'd finished in the pool we went back down to his house where we just had some drinks and a chat really ;) we left there at about 6ish, I had a shower and some dinner (sausages nom!) then we took Sandra and fam to Yianis bar. But he wasn't actually in there :(  so we just had some drinks (obv) and then Mark showed up and we did some more karaoke. There was hardly anyone in there this time which kind of sucked bit I spose it was a Sunday! Anyway I actually went up and sang. Omg. Me and James (my 14year old cousin) sang Year 3000 by Busted. I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through. But dad and Sandra were cheering us on the whole way through. ;) we came home at about midnight.
Day 7
Woke up nice and early at 7:30 to find mum cooking fry up so she made me sausages and beans on toast mm. We were in quite a rush cos we couldn't believe how quick the days were going, so we wanted to get out quickly. At about half 10 we left to go to Corallia bay. When we got there we reserved 8 beds for Sandra and fam too. I started reading "Digital Fortress" by Dan Brown but I got 40 pages in and got a little bit bored. It took so much effort to read that book in the sun! I gave up with that and listened to my iPod with me eyes shut, perfect for the beach. The others arrived short after and we just laid around on the beach. At about half 2 we ALL decided to go in the sea. Omg how hilarious. If you have family that you really love and are hilarious then you know what I'm talking about when you have 8 people in the sea throwing this bouncing ball miles to each other when you're all treading water. Funny stuff. Me and Matt tried to swim more into the sea to get on the rocks but the rocks underneath our feet were too slimy so we decided not too! We nearly died coming back tho, we were swimming for ages! When we got out we sat around again till about half 5, came home in a lovely ht car! Jumped straight in the pool and were playing with the blow up stuff which was a laugh. Had a shower ad got ready to go down to the harbour for dinner. As we walked down Tomb of the Kings road there was this shrine which wS underground with loads of caves in it. So us kids decided to go down there and "investigate" if you like ;) LOL AT THAT! there were these really creepy pictures of religion and Jesus on the Walls and loads of Greek symbols and stuff, kinda freaky! We carried on walking, got to the harbour and went to the Captains Restaurant which was upstairs so we had a lovely view of the harbour. I ordered a kleftico which was absolutely delicious!!!!!! It was such a good restaurant. They looked after yo really well if you know what I mean ;) after we'd finished there we went to the ice cream parlour which was just underneath it. I had a tub of mint choc chip and White chocolate ice cream. Again very yummy indeed!! I ate it as we walked back. When we got back to the apartment we all sat round Sandra and Dereks table on their patio and played Triominoes. Good game that ;) I win with 387 points!!! Woopwoop!
Day 8
I woke up early and sat outside doing some sudokus. Ha!  Mum made me some croissants which were slightly burnt but very nice all the same. After we had got ready, we went for a walk down to the beach opposite us and went right, we walked along the sea front and ended up outside loads of beautiful hotels. It started to get hot around 11 (it was already hot but I mean sweaty hot) so walked back and jumped straight in pool. When we was in the pool, all 4 of us tried to get in a 1 person boat  of course it capaized straight after  we also tried to surf on it and did some games with people sotting on other peoples shoulders    Derek had James and the Matthew on his shoulders and you could zee it was killing him!! Sunbathed till lunch time and had corn on the cob for lunch. After that, all of us went up to Mark's massive pool, he wasn't there so that was cheeky ;) we played some volleyball for ages in the pool and sunbathed for a while when we got out. For dinner we went out to "Chloe's" which was a really nice Chinese restaurant, it was really posh inside abs outside. All the trees were decorated with lights, there was a buddha outside and lots of statues. And a gong! Haha! We ordered loads of different dishes, chicken, pork, rice, choi main, loads! It was lovely! After that we walked up to the ice cream shop and went back to a pub to watch Essex play cricket. Fun times :/ it was happy hour in there so when me and Sandra ordered a Malibu and coke, we got given another glass of Malibu! They were both half full tho, not like the English measures, no these are much bigger measures! Me Matt, Mum and Sandra left after a while as it was pretty boring! mum went to bed and we went into their house to watch some documentary about teenage midgets, me and Matt also played some angry birds on my iPod. Went home about midnight.
Day 9
Woke up pretty early again today. First up! Did some sudokus outside again LOL! had another croissant and started sunbathing after I had got dressed etc. I decided to try reading "Digital Fortress" again as I realised I would run out of books! It actually got really interesting and I'm now on page 211 ;) that's all I did all day. I went to the bakery with Sandra and got some rolls and doughnuts. We came back and had some lunch - bread and salad, nothing special. Layed around the pool some more, went in the pool and played volleyball with everyone. Layed on my front for the first time to get a tan on my back as my front is doing quite well atm ;). Came in, showered, had a burger for dinner then went out to Marks house. It was good there cos Nic was in so we had a laugh watches European Championships - looking at all the beasts. Then watched Coast (don't ask) and were taking the piss out of someone who got well excited over a spanner! LOL! "that is extraordinary!" me and Nic went up to their pool to look at the BBQs there and the tables (which were nearly falling apart!) came home.
Day 10
Half 7 I woke up, rushed to get changed and breakfast and drove straight to Limosol waterpark. Both cars had a walky talky so we could talk to each other through the cars. Clever that ;) we got lost half way cos we missed the blooming sign. We also ran Over a dead snake, luckily I didn't see it! We eventually found the right way ad arrived at the waterpark. We reserved some beds and went straight onto the flumes. Black hole, and normal ones. I went on a double with Matt on the black hole and the blue waterfall slide. We went well fast!! :)  then we went on the mat race and James won that. Did loads of other stuff, had lunch - ceaser salad and melon - yum! Then we went around the lazy river in this massive ring where we got all 8 of us in LOL! it was nearly capsizing. Then we went in the wave pool which was just amazeballs! Best "ride". Went on more flumes and rides. One of them called the "black canyon" really scared me. It was just a really steep black flume and you flipped in the air at the bottom and smacked into the water. It hurt I tell ya, but was a good ride. Also I went on this bouncy dome thing with Matt at the end which was funny cos you had to pull yourself up a rope and you just kept stacking it everywhere. We left the park at about 6, drove through all the mountains on the way back. We stopped off at Aphrodite's rock - the Goddess of Love (oo) (and on the 29th too!) this sounds gay but I actually got well emotional there.  we took some photos and Rob made a heart out of stones. Had an ice cream - magnum White choc mm. Drove home, showered and got ready to go to the Raffles. It's a really posh restaurant down the road to us, but we only went in there because of the cheap menu offer they were doing. On the normal menu it was like €30 for main course but the cheap thing was €13 for 3 courses! When we were seated we asked for the cheaper menu and the mab stormed off, slammed the expensive menu down and threw the other ones on tye table. It was so hard not to laugh! I had chicken wings for starter, which kinda filled me up! Then I had pork kebabs for main, which I had to force down. AND THEN I had a chocolate cake dessert, wth!!!!! I was sooooo bloated and came home quite early cos I was just so tired from the day.
Day 11
I had an alarm set for 7:30 because we were going scuba diving at 8:30. We walked around the corner to the base of it, where they kitted you up and did a small lesson about all the things you need to know Inc safety etc. There was so much to remember. Then we got in the car and followed the 3 instructors down to the beach where e we got our wetsuits and boots on in the blistering heat. I've never sweated so much just by standing still before! We jumped in the sea to cool down then came out and put the inflatable waistcoats on with the tanks on the back. It was so heavy but when you got in the water the weight disappeared. The man inflated my jacket and I lent back and floated around in the water while he put my flippers on. Then we split of into mini groups. I was with a girl a bit younger than me, and James and Rob were together. We had to put our masks on and our mouth piece in and just put our head under the water to get used to the breathing of it. At first you panic, even though I've done it before you still breathe really fast. Then we went a little deeper so we were sitting on our knees, this was to get used to the water properly. He demonstrated 2 things that we may have to do whilst diving, one was clearing your mouth way (where you had to take your mouth piece out and blow bubbles through your mouth) and one was clearing water out of your mask.  This was the task I had a lot of trouble with. Instead of breathing through my nose I kept snorting the water up it and then panicing and swallowing lots of water. I had to go to the surface 2 times to cough/spit the water out. T this point Rob pulled out because he wasn't very confident going in for the dive. So we all merged in together, 3 instructors and 3 kids. I had a social man to look after me which was good. As we were going down I completely forgot to hold my nose as breath through it to relieve the pressure in my ears so I signalled to the man "ears" and he took me up to remind me! As I went back down again I remembered to do it and I was fine. We caught up with the group and we found the edges of the rocks which had loads of fish swimming around, loads! We carried on swimming deeper, saw some crabs and more fish and lots of humans swimming on the surface which was funny! We were down there for 30 mins but it only felt about 10. When we got out i went straight to the toilet in a hotel where i was talking to this woman who said I must be really hot in the wetsuit. She said she was watching ne and said she could never do anything like that. I took the wetsuit off and had a pack of crisps on the beach. Then we got in car said thank you to to men and drove to the supermarket. After that we got straight bak and jumped in the pool. It had been topped up and was vert clean but it was also very cold in there which. Got inn the show I isn't like much so got out straight away! Me and mum made sone French stick for lunch and then I tried to take a kip in the shade on the sun bed for a while. With my straw hat over my face. I can't really work out whether I slept or not tho! I played on Mums DS for a while and then got showered and ready for Fat Mamas. I managed to curl my hair with the straighteners for the first time ever lol! Looked good actually! At fat Mamas I had Steak cooked in cola sauce ad onions, it was absolutely delicious, amazing! And for dessert I had a lemon and sugar pancake. After that I felt quite sick so went down to the toilet to cool off and stood outside for a while. At too much and it was got where we were sitting. All the dancers were there doing there thing - Lady Gaga, Thriller etc. Mr Matt and Rob had our photo taken with Fat Mama and Willy. Then we left tree ad went too Yianis bar down the road. It was karaoke again but didn't do none tonight. Mark joined us after a while but I had to come home cos mum and Rob wanted to go to bed. Dad stayed. I was tired tho from the day.
Day 12
I woke up at 8:30 this morning and had some frosties. My jaw really ached, probs from yesterday - biting down on the mouth piece!  We got in the car and went to Corallia Bay again. On the way we stopped off at the Window Dresser to get the curtain material that we ordered in September! When we got to the beach we reserved 8 beds and I layed down ad read some more of my book. Around lunch time mum and dad went to go and get some lunch - cheese and ham baguettes, cheese and onion crisps and an ice tea. It was so windy at the beach, like every umbrella was flattering in the wind, it was crazy! 2 umbrellas flew away into the sea! I got really fed up with the wind cos it kept blowing sand in my mouth/eyes so we decided to just come back instead. I jumped straight in the pool and just moped around in there. I also managed to kick Robert in the face! Then we ad afternoon snack which was a donut and cuppa tea. At this point we were all doing the anorexic granny look and pretending to be Voldermort!!!! I then sunbathed on my front and played some mahjong on the ds. I then played some professor laytons pandoras box which me and Matt loved! It ran out of battery so I for in the shower and got myself ready. We went down to the square where we thought there was going to be a really good market. But when we got there, nothing was there!!! So we just walked around the town for a while and then drove down to the harbour. We had an ice cream - I gad 2 scoops of White chocolate :). Then we walked around and looked at stuff, stopped off in a bar and had a cocktail - piƱa colada for me. Me and Matt played some more ds. Then we walked back to the car and drove back. Everyone went to bed so me and dad walked sown to meet Mark and Nicola and their 3 mates - Sharon (who childminds Mia and 2 ladies who work opposite Mark) they we really nice girls. So we walked down to Yianis bar for some karaoke! I sang basket case by green day with Sharon, sex on fire by kings of Leon with Sharon and Nic and does your mother know by abba with dad. It was a different man doing the karaoke so that was good. Everyone ws doing more upbeat songs that people knew. We left there at about half 1! Great night!
Day 13
I woke up at 9 and put some croissants on, yum! Then I went and got ready to lounge around the pool. I sat out in it for about 2 hours but sweat was literally dripping off me. It was an unbearable heat. Instead I decided to sit on Sandras patio and play on the ds. I played that for about an hour and then went and had lunch - crackers, etc. Derek checked the temperature at 2 and it was 46 degrees! Phwoar! We got ready to go round to Marks pool, where Sharon was there too. Got straight in the pool. Was in there for ages, Nic finally woke up and came in. We just floated around in the water chatting lol. When we got out, I dried off then went back to the house, had some fruit juice and sat outside chatting again. Came home, had shower and got ready to go out down the harbour. We walked down there and we decided to eat in the Pelican restaurant. I had Kleftiko but it wasn't that great because it had loads of fatty crap left over. After dinner me Rob James and Derek were talking about how you could kill someone if you threw and scrunched up piece of paper or threw a coin off of the top of the empire state building. A pen would go through someone. A person/brick would make a dent in the ground etc. This then led on to the twin towers and how people jumped from the top and we then decided to think about what we would do if we were in there at that time. James said he would throw his desk out the window so that it killed his boss. rob said he would get loads of coins and throw them out the windows. I just said I would sit there in trauma not knowing what to do! We left there, as we were walking down the road back home, we sW a woman with heels on - but! She had heels under the ball of her feet as well! And of course when she stacked it everyone in the street cracked up. When we got home we all sat around our patio and played triominoes. I was with Sandra and we won both our games! Went to bed at about 12.
Day 14
Mum and dads last day today. Mum cooked a fry up for breakfast cos we had to use up all the meat! It was rather yummy. Then we headed of to Coralia bay - just me in the car cos rob was coming with Sandra! We reserved 8 beds again and straight away I started reading digital fortress, I finished it around 1. The ending was really good actually and I really enjoyed the book. After that I had some snacks - a peach and a packet of crisps. We weren't eating a lunch because we were having a meze in the evening. After that, Matt kept nagging to go o the banana boat but when he went up there to loo at prices he found out that it was more expensive to got on the Crazy Shark ride and it's 3 times longer. So we all walked up there an dad stayed to look after the bags. It was €20 each and it was me Rob Matt James and Del doing it, they charged us €100 but then said make it 90. Then Sandra said 80? And he said because it is yo my dear yes. So Matt just thought that he fancied her! We put our life jackets on and climbed onto the boat. It was like a big blow up bed that was attached to the back of a speed boat. I made sure I was in the middle so that I didn't fall off. And the boat took us out to sea and said scream if you want to go faster. So of course we made so much noise. It was an immense ride! It was soooooo bumpy because of all the waves being creates. It was so good! Sandra went on the back of the speed boat and took a load of pictures of us flying around. After that we went back to our beds and lounged around for a couple of hours. I played on the ds with Matt and then listened to my iPod for a while. We went home at about 5ish but us lot went round to visit Marks shop down the road. I bloody came on my women things in the car on the war there tho didn't I. Joy. Luckily I was expecting it. Anyway Marks shop was really got but the displays and that were really good! Very professional. Then we went home and got in shower and got ready to go out with EVERYONE! I curled my hair but after standing outside the car for 5 mins the humidity was way to high so it all went dead straight again. We drove to a Cypriote taverna where we had a meze. THERE WAS SOMUCH FOOD IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!!! by the time we got to the meats I was stuffed! We had a night of talking about magic tricks, spooky things and hypnosis. Funny times. When we got back we walked around Yianis bar, by that time it was about 12 - only 1 hour of karaoke left! Me and Nic were laughing at this woman who was completely off her nut! Got to bed at Bout 2
Day 15
Had to wake up at bloody 7am today. What a joke. And I weren't even going home! But I had to move out lol! Got up, and was still full up from the night before, packed the last bits - said goodbye to mum and dad (they were flying home today) and me and Rob sat in the empty tidy apartment and watches anger management. Bit crap really but filled the time. Then we locked everything up and officially moved into Sandra's apartment next door. I didn't feel that great to go and sit in the sun so I put on Jeremy Kyle and us kids had a right laugh with that. It was bloody hilarious! Then the boys decided to act it out! I then went outside for about an hour and sunbathed but it got way too hot at about 12 so I decided to come inside and watch the last ever episode of friends with Del, then we had some lunch - rolls and bits and bobs. Me and Sandra took a walk to get some womens things ;) then I sunbathed again for a while - sweat still dripping tho. I came in, had a shower and then packed up most of the rest of the stuff. We had dinner - pasta with sausages and chips and then sat down and watches the invention of lying with Ricky Gervais. It was quite funny but not that good really lol. Half way through the film we heard dripping water coming from outside. So we all went rushing out to see the commotion - it was coming from the top floor and the old wan had mopped the floor but used loads of water. Stupid. So disappointed as we were we went bak and carried on watching the film. Mark came and picked us up an took us back to his place - were now living there. Sharon was there and I met Rom properly there too. We just sat on the couch and watched tv till about 12, then I decided I was way to tired so came upstairs to bed. I had a blow up on Nics bedroom floor.
Day 16
I woke up at half 8 to the sound of Mia, she then came in our room but Chel was soon there to grab her! I went back to sleep but then woke up again at 11. Got dressed and went downstairs. Nic was sleeping on the sofa but she was up already - so I got some toast and we sat and watched Jeremy Kyle and then 2 episodes of friends. By that time it was time for lunch so we made ourselves a sandwich - I had ham and tomato. When we had finished the Hardy's came over to use the pool so we all went over there. Me and Nic were in the pool for about an hour and half! Just talking about loads of stuff and having a gossip! We got out and dried off - then Nic went back to the house but I said with Sandra & co for a while. Then when we got back we watched some more Jeremy Kyle! Sharon came round so we just sat out on the veranda and chatted to her. Then Mark came back with Dominoes pizza which was lovely! After that we decided to do a levitation on Mark. He sat on the chair and 4 of us each placed our hands above his head (one on top of the other) and you just repeat " light as a feather" loads of times. Sharon was leading it and she counted to 3 and then we clasped our hands together with 2 fingers out and lifted him straight up in the air! 2 people had under his arms and 2 people had under his knees! It also worked with Rob, Tom, Nic and me! It was so freaky, you could actually lift them way above your head just using 2 fingers! I took the best photo of Mark ever! Then we started the subject if creepy bugs and stuff, came inside - I went on Nic's computer for a while to email nan a shopping list for Sandra. Nic fell asleep on the sofa so I went up to bed at about 1
Day 17
I woke up at about 8 because Mia was being loud! She was alright tho ;) she cane in my room and was like :O who are you! I went downstairs, Nic was still asleep so I had a shower and got dressed, had some toast and read my book outside.  When she woke up I came in and watched some Tv, same as yesterday really! I had a crisp sandwich for lunch and in the afternoon we went around the pool, got in for about 20 mins then came out and sunbathed until about half 5. I had another shower but didn't wash my hair. Then got ready to go out to Fat Mama's with Sandra and co. Del came and picked us up at about 7:15. We had to wait a while when we were there but once we got our table it was brilliant. We all had one slice of garlic bread for starter. Then for main, me and Matt shared steak fjitas. It was absolutely beautiful! All the entertainment was great as well - we had a great view and Matt took some great pictures on my camera! When the waitress was clearing away Matt's ice cream she spilled it all over the floor, it sounds stupid but it was actually hilarious!! After the cabaret, we managed to fit us 4 kids in the back of Sandras car while they took her home. When we for back we were trying to find a DVD player, but none worked! Eventually we found one and put on shutter island - it was the most strangest film, didn't really get it was a bit of a waste of time lol! Went to bed at about 2 I think.
Day 18
I woke up at 9am because we were going to the water park with Sandra and co. Derek came and picked us up and we drove down to the Paphos one. We managed to fit all 4 kids in the back again. When we got there we found beds etc and went straight on the rides. It wasn't as good as the Limosol water park but it was still a great day out. When we went down the lanes where you race each other I went really fast and ended up crashing right into the end. One of the first rides we went on was the dome thing where you have to climb up it. Me Sandra and Derek all went on that. We all waited for each other at the top of the  dome and jumped down together. But! Derek and Sandra both jumped at the same time which made me fly up in the air going down in some weird position. It was hilarious! For lunch I had hamburger and chips and large coke. Healthy! We went on some more rides and at the end we had a look at the photos that had been taken. We both brought 2 each because they were brilliant! We came back to their apartment, and Matt wanted to be levitated but it wouldn't have worked because he was way too light. So we did it on Derek instead which half worked but we found that we were using all our might to do it! So we tried it on James but were actually dead serious about it all and it worked. Of course Matt was totally amazed! Then we went back home and I got straight in shower and got ready to go out round to Sharon's friends house for the evening. Steve, Sherie's husband, came and picked us up and me and Nic stopped of at the kiosk to get 12 beers, 2 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of coke and a bottle of Malibu. Cashier woman must have thought we were Alcoholics! When we got to Sherie's we had some pita bread with taramasalata and some drinks. Sharon cooked tuna pasta bake which was nice. I helped her dry up! Then we went and watched the exorcist but skipped the beginning because it's boring. It was a funny film and everyone was just pissing about while watching it! Then we watched paranormal activity and went home with Sharon driving - when we got in the car she had 2 baby car seats which Rob and Nic sat in LOL! Nic asked me if I'd sleep downstairs with her so I did. Bur at 3 we decided to watch a film - phone booth which was quite good actually. That finished at 5 and that's when we finally fell asleep!
Day 19
I was woken up by different things bur always fell back asleep again - finally woke up properly at about 11 and had some toast. I got dressed and decided to stay in in the morning. Then at half 1 Rob went to get his hair cut with Mark so I got dropped off at Sandras. I just sunbathed around the pool for a while. Was hot again! I listened to my iPod on loud so that Sandra could hear it as well. I kept having to go inside to cool down and get a drink! Mark eventually came to pick me up, we said goodbye to Sandra and stole half her fridge. When I got back I kind of moped around and then got in the shower ready to go to Jo's house. Chel had called a babysitter for Mia because everyone was out. The girl cane to the door, only about 16, and the 2 dogs went mental at her so she cried before she even walked to the gate and went straight home again! So Chel came home an took us to Jo's party. We were one hour late and there was still no one else there. So me and Nic turned the music up and got some drink and pizza. Only about 15 cypriots turned up and they were so boring so we just sat outside and chatted all night. Nic said to Jo "wouldn't it be funny if Alix turned up" because they haven't been friends in so long! Jo was well against that but Nix ended up going to meet Alix afterwards to sort things out with her. I decided to come with her and we met her down her road, went into the kiosk and got some drinks then sat down and chatted for about 2 hours until we decided to go for a walk! Then Greg came out but we didn't know it was him at first. There was just this man on a bike - we thought he was stalking us! But then realised and he joined us. Nic went into the kiosk again and one of the blokes in there squeezed her arse so she went out and started pushing and shoving him and actually got into a fight!! It was funny. We did some dancing and Jeremy Kyle impressions and we were out until 7 in the morning! A proper all nighter that was! When we got back I went straight to bed!
Day 20
I woke up at 11 so felt pretty tierd! I decided to go in the pool to wake myself up! When i got back me Nic and Chel were having a right laugh - I can't explain but it was hysterical! It involved lady gaga, Mark and Sharon! Because we were having a laugh we decides to go to the kiosk to get some tank water and drinks. We looked a scene - I had my bikini on with a towel round me, Nic had her White t shirt on which had soooooo many stains down it - including toothpaste and Chel had her slippers on. The water tanks were outside so while me and Nic went in the shop Chel quickly replaced the full one with the empty one and ran back to the car to put it away. Honestly I was wetting myself in the shop.  The woman didn't even know! So we were laughing the while way home and at home as well. Me and Nic decided to get in the pool again and after when we were sunbathing we were laughing quite slot. She put something I said as her facebook status! FUNNY I TELL YOU! Sharon came over just as we got back so we decided to put on the iPod on speakers and me and Sharon were raving to some Foo Fighters! Then we went to buy some kebabs. Then we went in the kiosk to buy some snacks and goodies. We got loads of junk food! The kebabs were gorgeous! After that we settled down and watching Zombieland. I don't really like that film much so was drifting to sleep half way through. Then after we put on Bruno which was a hilarious film! Then we decided to YouTube a few things and listen to some music and then when Sharon had gone me and Nic slept on the sofa again while watching Final Destination 2.
Day 21
I woke up at 9 this morning but I was sooo tired! I went into Nic's work so that she could sort some final bits out. Had to just wait in the lobby of the hotel. She said it was going to take a while for them to sort out there money so she suggested we go out for breakfast. After looking in about 3 different bars we found one who I'd them. The bacon was a bit uncooked but the rest was delicious! We walked back to her goral sorted that out then got a Taxi to Mark's work, where we booked Nicola's flight ( she's coming home on Wednesday!!) and went to the bank to withdraw some money out. It was so hot today like ridiculously! As soon as Mark dropped us back I strews doing some packing - everything possible was in. Then I just went and jumped straight in the pool. After about 45 minutes Nic and Rob came to join me and we played some volleyball. I lost my ear ring and butterfly in the pool but managed to find it because the water was so clear! We got out and went back to have a shower, when I got out Nic was watching the videos that we took from the other night, how embarrassing! I got dressed and ready and then Sharon came round to pick us up. We went down to kings road (Yianis bar) for dinner and drinks. I requested chicken nuggets especially. And they were absolutely gorgeous. Then the karaoke started wooooo! I sang Tribute by Tenacious D with Rob, it's raining men with Sharon and Nic, Wake me up when September ends with everyone, Poker Face with Nic, Basket Case with Sharon and Tom, Gold with Nic Sharon and Jo and probs some more. We completely owned that bar that night. We were immense! After karaoke had finished we played some pool. Nic beat Rob. Tom and Mark but web she played me I played absolutely shocking but kept snookering her and ended up beating her! We all went back to our house and had some tea and coffee. Said our goodbyes to Sharon and Tom and then went straight to sleep! At 4am so another nice late night!
Day 22
I thought i set an alarm but turns out I didn't! Luckily Mia was there to wake me up at 7am! Nice 3 hour sleep clare! I finished the last of the packing and then said Goodbye to Mark. We dropped Mia off at playschool and drove to the airport. We were busting out the tunes! Said goodbye to Nic and Chel - very emotional! Haha! Checked in etc and sat in dry free for god knows how long. About an hour and half! We finally got called on at about quarter to 11.

5th July 2010

I'm on th iPod typing this so there may be a few mistakes but stuff it, it's too hard to retype all the mistakes so I'll let you guess what it's meant to be. It's a good job for the whole automated thing on these apple products, especially if you talk full English, genius really! Apart from when you want to type loooonnnggg words then it changes it to something random or words that aren't in the dictionary like bhs which comes out as VHS, errr no. Anyway talking of apple products, today I went to lakeside and went in the apple store, it's just so amazing in there, like technology paradise, i wanted to walk out of there with every single product especially apple pc and an iPhone! But I went with my neighbour and bought a iPod nano for her boyfriend (how exciting... Probs the most boring thing in there!) oh well he will like it, not too complicated for him :) then we went in the orange shop and met a very nice man named Ben who worked in there, he was soooooooooo helpful and we ended up walking out with an iPhone contract and a new wireless Internet thingy, was great! I also got my bag for prom, quite a bargain there, so I now have everything ready and am very excited for next monday now!!!!! So yeah was a very successful shopping trip and then came home with my neighbour who is just such a laugh to be with and I've spent every day with her since Thursday! Love her. So yeah went sat in her garden had a diet coke, showed her my prom shoes, fell in love with them all over again.
When I finally got home, I went on envirophone and found out I could get rid of 6 phones for like £20, and that is GOOD considering them phones are like the first ever ones invented haha! Oh well better than nothing. They're just collecting dust in the man drawer anyway so all good!
Now I'm babysitting, watching Gavin and Stacey. Such an easy thing to do if you get th right kids to look after! They're not even in the same room, angels! So yeah this pays for my shopping trip this morning so I'm chugged! (*chuffed <-- stupid automated text again)
They should probs go bed now so I'm over and out, hope to blog soon, now that I'm not at school and have a longass summer I can cos I got nothing better to do!
